Why Hire a Coach?
When you make the decision to hire a coach, you are taking the first—and arguably, the most difficult—step to self-improvement. You are proactively admitting that you need help and are seeking improvement in one or more areas of your life. No one is perfect, and we all have the means to improve in some way. However, the lifelong learners among us—those who are willing to seek guidance from others, with an open mind—often have the most potential for positive change and personal growth.

We tend to keep our problems to ourselves, convincing ourselves that everyone else has life figured out. Not true. In my one-on-one customized coaching, I will offer rational feedback to these types of negative thoughts. I will keep you on track and accountable for your plan. And I will be a source of strength, support, and guidance.
Coach vs. Therapist:
What’s the Difference?
Think of a coach as the person in your corner who sees the best in you. A coach arms you with the tools that you’ll develop over time to honor your own natural process for achieving your personal goals and living more authentically.
On the other hand, a therapist will diagnose and treat from a health care perspective. Typically, therapy mainly focuses on past events, circumstances, realities, and beliefs that could be affecting your current self.
Life coaching doesn’t negate your history; instead, we use what you’ve learned about your past to help you move forward with your life. It’s time to stop letting the past make you its victim!
As your coach, I focus on the present and future, without rehashing the past.
Together, we will collaborate and create a plan for you to achieve a vision of the future you want to be living. We take you from where you are to where you want to be.
My process can be especially helpful to clients who have been in talk therapy for quite some time but aren’t seeing the progress they had hoped. If you’ve been circling with your current counselor and are ready for bigger changes, I can help you get out of the rut. You might feel like you’re unable to change—and you aren’t sure why traditional counseling isn’t helping. That’s when coaching, with its focus on the future, can be incredibly impactful.
Coaching in Action
As your coach, I will develop a program that is unique to you and shows you that the opportunity to love your life is absolutely within reach. Your customized plan will include goals based on your natural strengths and areas where improvement is needed.
My coaching is designed to give you motivation, inspiration, tips, and, most of all, the ability to see your true strengths. Consider me your go-to accountability buddy, support system, and friend on this amazing journey to loving yourself.
I believe that no problem is insurmountable; however, a universal cure for every issue doesn’t exist. That’s why I build an individualized program that is sustainable for you. If a plan isn’t sustainable (read: easy to stick to), it’s just another fad—and you deserve more than a fad!
We will meet regularly, in my Queen Anne location or online, to ensure that you are meeting your goals and build action plans to anticipate and manage the roadblocks to achieving your goals.
After all, this is life, and it can be confusing. Joyful, inspiring, and beautiful one moment and then cruel, punishing, and unfair the next. The only thing that we can control is ourselves.
Let me introduce you to tools for coping and thriving so that your response to life’s challenges is positive and in the direction of reaching your goals. I also will give you easy-to-manage weekly assignments based on your needs. I promise the assignments will not be overwhelming! The last thing I want is to cause any stress.
Finally, when we’re working together, you will have email access to me for anything that pops up between our chats. If needed, we can have an additional call. Even though we will be dealing with some heavy issues, we will still have fun! Life is made up of laughter and fun, and you will experience both as you step into your dream life.
